Created by Houbigant in 1941 and referred to as the Rosie the Riveter fragrance, Chantilly is the first American perfume created for women working for the war effort. It gained popularity among women who manned the assembly lines during WW2. Chypre Oriental-fruity notes, bergamot, neroli, citruses, spicy notes, cloves, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, orange blossom, leather, tonka bean, musk, benzoin, oakmoss, vanilla and sandalwood.
